At Brentford school for Girls we work hard to involve our surrounding wider community and businesses with what happens within the school day and beyond. As such, our pupils enjoy a wide variety of opportunities to get involved in their local community. This supports the development of our students around their understanding and importance of community cohesion and their spiritual, moral and cultural development.
Our girls have the opportunity to participate in first class school performances, exhibit artwork in the local community, access the schools community network for work experience and support different charities with a variety of fundraising events.
We hold many on-site events and get involved in as many wider community events as we can. Over the course of any academic year, parents/carers, former students ‘Alumni’ local businesses and individuals support us by giving their time, and donations, examples of these include:
- Whole school wider community work
- Work experience
- Sponsorship for events
- Primary school outreach projects
- Careers talks
- Industry networking events
- Interviewing technique workshops
