British Science Week
Student detectives decipher mystery
Marking British Science Week, the Brentford girls in Years 7, 8 and 10 took on the role as detectives for the day, using science to help solve a ‘crime’. With the help of our 6th formers, the students used chromatography, analysis of fingerprints and fibres as well as testing soil samples in the CSI style event. It was fantastic to see the engagement by all pupils who worked enthusiastically to solve the puzzle, many of whom were successful in revealing Miss Davison as the guilty one! Carrying on from this, many pupils are working hard to create a poster focusing on changes in science as part of a British Science Week competition; we look forward to seeing their finished efforts.
