Brentford School for Girls celebrated the achievements of its Year 13 students on Wednesday 25th June, with a graduation and prom evening that brought together pupils and staff for one last shared milestone. The event ran from 7.30pm to 11.30pm at the Galata Pera in Brentford. The evening marked the end of a long and memorable journey for the Year 13 cohort, and the school made sure it was sent off with warmth, pride and plenty of celebration.
An evening of recognition and reflection
The graduation centred on a series of awards, recognising the hard work, growth and character of students throughout their time at Brentford School for Girls. Staff speeches added a personal touch, with teachers sharing reflections on a group they had supported across many years of school life. A highlight of the night came in the sharing of photographs, capturing students’ time at BSfG. These snapshots traced the journey from their early days to their final exams, giving everyone in the room a chance to look back together and appreciate just how far the year group had come.
Food, fun and a fitting send-off
Beyond the formal moments, the evening was built around enjoyment. Food was served, the atmosphere stayed lively, and students were given the space to relax and celebrate alongside the friends and teachers who had shaped their school years. The combination of awards, good company and a striking venue made for an occasion that felt both meaningful and genuinely fun.
A community celebration
Events like this one show what a school community can achieve when it comes together to honour its young people. For the students, it was a moment of pride and recognition. For staff, it was a chance to celebrate everything the year group had accomplished, and to wish them well for whatever comes next. ‘‘We are incredibly proud of our Year 13 students and everything they have achieved during their time with us,’’ Ms Agnohotri said. ‘‘This evening was about celebrating their journey, recognising their hard work, and giving them a send-off that reflects just how much they mean to our whole school community. We cannot wait to see what they go on to do next.’’
Looking ahead
As the Year 13 students move on to the next chapter, whether that be university, training, employment or new adventures, they leave with the support and best wishes of the Brentford School for Girls community behind them. The graduation and prom offered a fitting close to their time at the school: a celebration of friendship, achievement and the shared journey that made it all possible.
