At Brentford School for Girls, the creative, technical and performing arts are all areas of high achievement and outstanding output. Students from all backgrounds thrive in a nurturing and creative environment where experimentation and managed risk taking is encouraged. The teaching staff in these areas are deeply committed to developing the students' passion for the subject and are fully aware of the life-long pleasure and opportunities which the arts bring, while at the same time inculcating self-discipline, collaboration and determination within a framework of academic and artistic rigour. Many of our students go on to the top art colleges including Central St Martin's, film schools, drama schools and Universities to study their chosen discipline. However, many also secure prestigious internships including at Channel 5, SKY Television, MediaCom, National Youth Theatre and many others before university or even as a prelude to work in those industries.
The Creative Sectors are one of the few areas of economic growth in recent years and in 2015 contributed £84 Billion to the UK Economy. One in six jobs in London are in the creative sectors including media and entertainment, marketing and advertising, art and design, games and software design and the ancillary businesses.
On this page you will find galleries which will give you the chance to see and experience some of the work completed by students both past and present.
