What a fantastic start to the day—despite the heat! Brentford School for Girls recently hosted a vibrant and memorable Year 6 Induction Day, welcoming future Year 7 students with open arms. The day was filled with excitement, smiles, and activities designed to make the transition to secondary school seamless and enjoyable.
New students met their teachers, explored classrooms, and enjoyed guided tours of the school. Engaging activities helped everyone feel at home and ready for a great start in September.
A warm welcome to learning
Students participated in classroom sessions that introduced them to how the school operates, making the new environment feel less daunting and more welcoming.
Lunch with a side of laughter
The canteen buzzed with happy chatter as students enjoyed a delicious complimentary lunch of pizza, fresh salads, and sweet desserts. It was the perfect opportunity to relax, make friends, and share laughs.
Teamwork & catwalk! 👠✨
The highlight of the day was the ‘Group Activity’, where students teamed up to design creative outfits using simple materials. The grand finale? A confidence-boosting runway show where students proudly showcased their designs. This activity encouraged creativity, teamwork, and self-expression, leaving everyone inspired.
Brentford School for Girls is dedicated to ensuring smooth transitions for all students. We inspire young girls to grow, collaborate, and express themselves. The success of this Induction Day sets a positive tone for the year ahead, and we are thrilled to support our new Year 7s as they embark on their journey as confident learners.
