BSfG celebrates student’s outstanding rowing achievements

Brentford School for Girls (BSfG) is celebrating the incredible accomplishments of Leah, a talented student who has achieved remarkable success in competitive rowing while representing London. Leah’s recent triumph includes securing a silver medal in the Relay Rowing competition and a bronze medal for placing 3rd in the London Rowing event.

This double accomplishment highlights Leah’s incredible dedication, teamwork, and athletic ability. Reflecting on her passion for rowing, Leah shared, “I love rowing—being active outdoors on the water and enjoying the social side with my friends.”

Leah’s next challenge will be at the Thames Valley Park on 22nd June, where she will compete again and continue to make the school and her community proud. Brentford School extends heartfelt gratitude to Brentford Boat Club, alongside Nick Wild, Tam Keane, Miranda, and Paul Keane, for their unwavering support and encouragement of Leah throughout her rowing journey.

Brentford School for Girls in conjunction with Team Keane rowing have given opportunities to students to try this sport. As part of the comprehensive extra-curricular provision, Team Keane rowing club facilitate a number of students to gain weekly training in the sport.

Looking ahead, the school is excited to announce that Team Keane will be joining the upcoming BSfG Arts Festival 2025. This event provides a unique opportunity to meet Leah and her supportive team, while celebrating her phenomenal achievements. Don’t miss out on this inspiring occasion!
