Summer Fair 2017

The local community of Brentford comes together in the basking sun!

The Brentford School for Girls Summer Fair was a wonderful school and wider school event. There were plenty of activities these include; candy floss, cream teas, circus skills, Northfields Morris, BBQ, refreshments, Sara Ward from ‘Hen Corner’ selling homemade goods, charities were also represented including  Save the Children and the Alzheimer’s Society. It was a wonderful event.

Many students across the year groups performed on the music stage and wowed the crowds with their amazing talent. We were also delighted that Tony Bowen local musician, also known as the ‘Human Jukebox was able to join us before heading off to this year’s Glastonbury Festival he provided the event with a wonderful set of songs. If you would like to contact Tony Bowen directly he can be found  by visiting him directly on his website and on his twitter account @tonybowenmusic  We were delighted that so many students performed on the day and the students were a credit to our school.

The raffle prizes this year were full of incredible donations from local business, including a spa day for two at Syon Hilton’s Kallima Spa, a two night stay, at the local Brentford Novotel, a goodie bag from teapigs, Sunday lunch for two at the very popular ‘The Griffin’ and more…….

Ms Leenders, Head Teacher said “It was a wonderful to welcome lots of students, staff and their families and the wider community to join us in what a fantastic afternoon”. Brentford School for Girls would like to thank their sponsors ‘Dexters’ Estate Agency in Chiswick who joined us on the day and provided all the visitors with a goodie bag which included frisbees and cupcakes’.

Last but not least Brentford School for Girls would like to thanks everyone who supported this event, if you are interested in taking a stall at future events please contact Liz Gers Community Co-Ordinator on
