Starting Secondary School 2021
We are delighted to welcome you and your daughter to Brentford School for Girls.
At Brentford, we pride ourselves on providing girls and young women with an excellent quality of education as well as the opportunity to develop the broader skills required to be successful in a changing world. In February 2016 we were identified by the DFE as being one of the top 100 non selective state schools in England for the progress students make and for the second year in concession, our GCSE results have placed us as the top girls’ school within Hounslow local authority. We have been a ‘High Aspiration Pupil Premium Award’ winner and invited to join the prestigious London Schools Gold Club, an accolade presented to the top 6% London state schools. We are incredibly proud of our achievements and our continued success and know that your daughter will be happy and successful joining us.
Our vision here at Brentford is to develop the Brentford Girl of the future; a girl who is confident, courageous and ambitious and who is able to go out into the world when she is an adult, well equipped to meet the challenges of life and employment in the 21st century, whatever that may look like!
It is important to us that you and your daughter feel safe and part of our community from this moment onwards. Between now and September 2021 there will be a number of transition events in which we would like you and your daughter to be involved.
The first of our transition events is a special ‘WELCOME TO BRENTFORD SCHOOL ' evening and takes place on Wednesday 10th March from 6.00pm to 7.00pm, virtually via zoom. Please click here to REGISTER and attend this event.
We very much hope that we are able to invite you into our school in the future as the lock down lifts. We look forward to meeting you on Wednesday 10th March at 6pm.

Below is a 'VIRTUAL TOUR of the main areas of the school so that our students are able to familiarise themselves with the school site prior to joining us and a video to get to know the Brentford School Senior Leadership team.
The LVATRUST also has a ‘How To’ booklet for parents of transitioning children in years 6 & 7.
This is a guide to help parents engage with their children more and talk about the different topics in preparation for their time at secondary school. LINK https://www.lvatrust.org/parent-pack-1
We look forward to welcoming you all to the Brentford School for Girls community!
