course specification

A Level Textiles will help you to develop your ability to appreciate the visual world and respond in a creative way, using your knowledge and skills in the materials and methods of creating art, with a focus on both fine art and textile techniques

You will enjoy this course if you want to study a subject that:

Units

  • AS Level Stand Alone Qualification
  • Component 1: Portfolio – No time limit
  • Component 2: Externally set Assignment – Preparatory Period and 10 hour exam

A Level qualification

  • Component 1: Personal Investigation – no time limit and includes written material, A personal study of between 1000 and 3000 words
  • Component 2: Externally set assignment – Preparatory period plus 15 hour exam
