In 2011 we achieved great things, however, one of the highlighted areas in our Ofsted report was ‘improving communication with parents’.
In December, we held an evening for you to come in and talk to us about what we could do to improve. One of the ideas suggested by you was to publish more frequent news updates, enabling us to keep you ‘in the loop’ with activities/news in the school/community. We have, in response, created the ‘Brentford Bulletin’.
You will receive a copy of the bulletin twice each half term and we are keen to hear your feedback on how useful it is. A text/email alert will be sent to you on the day that a bulletin is being set home. It will be posted on our website until July and a paper copy will be sent home with your daughter. Being the mother of a teenager, I know how these items can often be left on the bus or at the bottom of a bag, so please remind her to pass it on to you!
The bulletin will not replace our termly newsletter, which will continue to highlight our work and achievements over the course of the term. Instead, it will act as a regular ‘no frills’ update to you about general school and community news.
You can download our first bulletin here
I look forward to working with you all again this term!
