Appointment of Head Teacher for Brentford School for Girls
05 12 2011
Dear Parents and Carers,
For the past seven months, the Governing Body has been going through the rigorous process of recruiting a new Head Teacher.
We were determined to appoint the best person to lead our school, so appointed an external consultant to assist us, plus fully engaged the Local Authority team. Our advert in the Times Educational Supplement attracted a lot of interest, with 25 quality applications from around the country.
I am delighted to report that we have just completed the final two day selection process with a very strong group of candidates, and we are now able to announce the appointment of Ms Marais Leenders, with effect from January 2012.
You will know that Marais has been Acting Head Teacher since last year, a task that she has performed exceptionally well.
The Governors are very pleased that Ms Leenders has agreed to become our Head Teacher, and I know that she is very much looking forward to driving the school and its community to new levels of success.
